Ryan Reynolds is offering a $5,000 reward for the return of a woman’s stolen teddy bear that contains a recording of her late mother’s voice.
Mara Soriano, 28, recorded her mother's voice and had it put into a custom-made Build-a-Bear, CBC reported. It was a final message from her mother, Marilyn, who died of cancer in 2019.
"At hospice her voice was different. Much softer. Not the mom I grew up with," Mara Soriano said. "That bear is the last memory I have of her speaking in her normal voice. She said that she loved me and she was proud of me and that she'll always be with me."
Soriano was distracted Friday while moving into a new apartment and a bag containing the bear was stolen during her "frazzled state."

She checked security footage with the building concierge. It shows a man looking around before taking the bag and running, CBC reported.
Soriano filed a police report and is hoping if anyone finds the bear, that they return it.
Actor Ryan Reynolds, who is from Vancouver, also stepped in to help get the bear back.
Vancouver: $5,000 to anyone who returns this bear to Mara. Zero questions asked. I think we all need this bear to come home. https://t.co/L4teoxoY50
