The Washington Post Helping Hand today announced it has raised over $410,000 for its covid-19 campaign with beneficiaries Feeding America, Meals on Wheels, No Kid Hungry and World Central Kitchen.

“We are thankful for the generous support of our readers and Washington Post employees. With their help, relief has been provided to medical professionals and at-risk groups in need of food across the country.” said Fred Ryan, publisher and CEO of The Post.

Post Helping Hand was created to facilitate significant financial donations directly to human service nonprofit organizations in the Washington, D.C. region through Local Columnist John Kelly’s high-impact, in-depth narratives about those in need and the programs that assist them. The initiative will select its 2021-2024 beneficiaries in Summer 2021. Visit www.posthelpinghand.com for updates on the application period.
