In its latest promotion, Frito-Lay is leveraging its Variety Packs of Cheetos, Doritos, Lay's, Sun Ships and other salty snack brands to feature random acts of kindness on its single-serve bags of snacks. Each bag contains a feel-good prompt such as “Send a handwritten thank you note” and “Ask someone how they’re feeling.”
The new Packed With Kindness packaging is an evolution of the brand’s popular Snackable Notes program, with purchases spurring an automatic donation from Frito-Lay Variety Packs to ThinkKindness.org (up to $250,000).
Think Kindness is a nonprofit whose speakers visit schools across the country each year to spark "Kindness Movements," inspiring students to take action and change the world.
Plano, Texas-based Frito-Lay is a division of PepsiCo. PepsiCo generated more than $67 billion in net revenue in 2019, driven by a food and beverage portfolio that includes Frito-Lay, Gatorade, Pepsi-Cola, Quaker and Tropicana.
