The Hilltop Elementary School "Kindness Crew," consisting of 5th graders, worked diligently during recess for the past several weeks to paint and design flowerpots.
On Wednesday morning, club members planted flowers in those pots that will now be delivered to residents at Stonerise Moundsville, formally known as the Mound View Skilled Nursing Home. Students also made cards to go along with the potted plants.
Hilltop Elementary School counselor Shelly Behm is the group’s faculty advisor. She will deliver more than 80 potted plants to Stonerise Moundsville within the next few days.
Thirty-four 5th grade students participated with the flower project.
